ADAA Art Show, New York During the first week of March, the international art world converges at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City for a show organized by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA). The 70 selected exhibitions, presented by the nation's leading art galleries, will feature museum-quality works ranging from 19th and 20th century Old Master works to recently completed contemporary painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and multi-media. Whitney Biennial, New York The Whitney Biennial is a biennial exhibition of contemporary American art, typically by young and lesser known artists, on display at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. The event began as an annual exhibition in 1932. The Whitney show is generally regarded as one of the leading shows in the art world, often setting or leading trends in contemporary art. Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy The Venice Biennale has for over a century been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world. Art Basel, Basel, Switzerland The world's premier international art show for Modern and contemporary works, Art Basel features nearly 300 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. More than 2,500 artists, ranging from the great masters of Modern art to the latest generation of emerging stars, are represented in the show's multiple sections. Art San Diego, Contemporary Art Fair Art San Diego features prominent galleries representing contemporary artwork by established and emerging artists from around the world. It is an especially rich venue for surveying the dynamic work of Latin American artists.

Frieze Art Fair, London
Frieze Art Fair takes place every October in Regent’s Park, London. The fair showcases new and established artists to an international audience. It also includes commissioned artists' projects and an ambitious program of talks. Frieze was the first-ever international Contemporary Art fair to be staged in London. Sao Paulo Art Biennial, Sao Paulo, Brazil The São Paulo Art Biennial was founded in 1951 and has been held every two years since. It is the second oldest art biennial in the world after the Venice Biennial (in existence since 1895), which serves as its role model. FIAC, Paris FIAC (Fiore Internationale d'Art Contemporain), France's annual art fair, is usually held the last week of October and has over one hundred international galleries exhibiting.
