Thein highlights the relationship between high fashion and anorexia. The Smithsonian&#8217;s Hirshhorn Museum curator Al Miner noted Thein&#8217;s decision to obscure the models&#8217; faces forces the viewer to focus on their bodies, particularly the exaggerated limbs.
